Race Car Clip Instructions

Once the file has been downloaded after purchase it must be un-compressed. Typically by double-clicking on the file your computer will do the rest.

EPS files can be generated by all drawing applications as well as most layout applications. Image manipulation programs like Adobe PhotoShop can also save bitmap images as EPS-files. Some printer drivers are also capable of generating EPS-files as well as PostScript files.

CorelDRAW™
From the “File” menu select “import”. From the “List Files of Type” pop-up, select “Adobe Illustrator (*.ai,*.eps)” DO NOT use the “All Files”, or “EPS” filter options. These options will import the bitmap preview of the image – not the actual file. If you cannot ungroup or edit the image, you did not import the image using the “Adobe Illustrator” import filter.

FlexSIGN™/Roland SignMate™
Using the “Open” command, select “Adobe Illustrator 3.0” under file type. Locate the file on the CD and double-click the file name to import the image. If you get a message “there are objects having the same color as the background”, select “OK”. SPECIAL NOTE ON BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES: After importing the image, choose “Select All” in the “Edit” menu. From the “Color Bar”, select black as your fill color. Go to the “Arrange” menu and select “Make compound”.

Freehand™
From the “File” menu select “Open” to import the EPS image. If you select “Place”, you will not be able to ungroup or manipulate the files. Locate the image on the CD and select the file name to import the image.

Gerber Graphix Advantage™ or Omega
Select the “File” menu. Select “Encapsulated Postscript (EPS)” from the import options. Select your CD Drive and locate the EPS image. Select the file and choose “Convert”. Generally, the file will open into Graphix Advantage or Omega and will be saved in the “Jobs” directory.

Illustrator™
From the “File” menu select “Open” to import the EPS image. If you select “Place”, you will not be able to ungroup or manipulate the files. Locate the image on the CD and select the file name to import the image.

Inspire/CASmate™
From the “File” menu select “Import”. Select EPS under “File Types”. Select the CD drive and the file you wish to import Double-click the file to bring it into your program.

PageMaker™
From the “File” menu select “Place”. Locate the image on the CD and select the file name to import the image. The PS (POST SCRIPT) symbol will appear on the screen. Click the mouse to place the image on the screen.

Quark Xpress™
You will need to create a “Graphic Box” before importing the image. After you have created the box, click on the Content Tool, and select “Get Picture” from the “File” menu. Locate the image on the CD and select the file name to import the image.

SignLAB™
From the “File” menu select “Import”. Select EPS from the “List Files of Type” pop-up. Locate the image on the CD and select the file name to import the image. Select the “Merge” command to combine and EPS image with an existing image.
